
RICK'S cafe' stands for Renewing Intercultural Competences and Knowledge Spaces. These words are what the network has set out to do. RICK'S cafe' is a Comenius Network for educators, trainers, publishers, policy makers and specialists in issues related to intercultural education coordinated by CECE - Confederación Española de Centros de Enseñanza of Spain. The network starting working in December 2010 when it embarked on a three year programme of events including training activities, workshops, research and European Intercultural Days.

Issues in Educational Research, volume 22, number 1, publication date 28 February 2012, on the journal's website http://www.iier.org.au/ is a Special Issue on multicultural and critical education, the papers representing a strong European perspective on these issues.
Issues in Educational Research was set up to encourage new researchers to begin writing for publication, and to be assisted through the review and revision stages within a supportive environment. It is recommend that supervisors of postgraduate students encourage their students to submit to this journal.
